A pensions firm has announced the appointments of two new directors.
Equiniti Pension Solutions has hired Duncan Watson as managing director of data solutions and Paul Sturgess as director of pension administration & strategy.
Mr Watson will be responsible for managing the businesses strategic development across its data solutions propositions and technical & scheme compliance.
Mr Sturgess will be responsible for the pension administration business and for developing the strategy to meet the evolving needs of pension schemes.
Mr Watson, who is a pension actuary, has arrived from AON Hewitt where he was UK chief operating officer with responsibility for over 2,250 UK and 650 overseas pension experts.

Mr Sturgess has joined from Capita where he had been a board member and played a leading role in auto enrolment developments.
Most recently he headed up its DC Consulting team and the teachers' pensions contract team.
Mr Watson said: "It's a really exciting time to join Equiniti. The firm has undergone material change in a market that has itself been changing fast. "Equiniti has grasped the need and opportunity to transform into an organisation that supports the new world of the 'retirement wealth journey' rather than just offering what are becoming increasingly historical 'pensions' products and services."
Mr Sturgess said: "The new pension freedoms will create huge opportunities for pension schemes to provide more tailored services for their members. It will be our responsibility to ensure that we provide the necessary people and technology platforms to support them."
Ric Williams, managing director of Equiniti, welcomed the pair, saying they will help meet the "fundamental change" facing the industry and the schemes that it services.
He said: "Both have led significant pension businesses during a period of major evolution in the pensions industry."
