Martin Tilley, head of technical at Westbridge SSAS, has been appointed interim chair of The Association of Member-Directed Pension Schemes (AMPS).
AMPS is the leading trade body for SIPP and SSAS providers.
Mr Tilley will hold the position until the next AGM in October. He replaces Claire Trott, who has resigned the chair due to work and charitable fundraising commitments.
Ms Trott is divisional director for retirement and holistic planning at St James’ Place.
AMPS is run by a committee elected from representatives of member firms by the membership.

Mr Tilley spent over 30 years at SIPP and SSAS provider Dentons Pension Management, before taking senior roles at Hurley Partners and latterly Westbridge SSAS.
He joined the AMPS committee in October 2021.
AMPS has over 150 member firms representing all parts of the industry: SIPP providers, SSAS practitioners, pension lawyers, software developers, banks and investment houses. Among its members are some of the largest pension providers but also some boutique firms.
