New BW managing partner Marcus Whitehead
Barnett Waddingham, the pensions and employee pensions firm, has appointed its first managing partner.

Marcus Whitehead, partner at Barnett Waddingham for 15 years, will take on this new role to help drive expansion of the business.

The company offers consultancy across risk, pensions, investment and insurance.
 
Mr Whitehead has been with the firm for over 15 years and joined Barnett Waddingham in 2002,holding a series of senior positions in this time. He is a qualified actuary and has been consulting for 30 years across a wide range of investment and pensions issues.

Since starting in 1989 with 20 people, Barnett Waddingham has grown to almost 1,000 employees, including 68 partners and 99 associates across eight offices UK wide.

• Barnett Waddingham has also appointed Alex Pocock as its new head of investment. He joined Barnett Waddingham in 2004 and became a partner in 2012. In his new role will oversee the progression of the investment consulting team within Defined Contribution (DC) and Defined Benefits (DB).
