Barnett Waddingham has reported that the number of properties under administration within its Sipp business has exceeded 1,000 for the first time.
The latest November figure shows that the firm now administers over 1,100 commercial SIPP properties with a total value in excess of £300m. The landmark number of properties comes after a year of significant growth for Barnett Waddingham SIPP LLP, which has seen the launch of the its new Flexible SIPP and acquisitions of both Harsant Pensions and Chase de Vere's Sipp businesses.

Julia Bassett, chief executive officer of Barnett Waddingham SIPP, said: "We have long been known for our specialist knowledge of using properties within a Sipp. To break the 1,000 mark is a great achievement and testament to our extensive experience in this area of Sipps.
"2014 has been an exceptional year of expansion for the business. The growth in our property figures can be attributed in part to the purchase of both Harsant Pensions and Chase de Vere's SIPP businesses. However, advisers and clients continue to appreciate the benefits of investing in commercial property through a SIPP and so organic growth through our newly launched Flexible SIPP has contributed, too."
