A newly appointed pension technical manager is set to take up his role at a Sipp firm later this month.
Suffolk Life has announced the appointment of Paul Evans, who has held specialist pension roles with Royal London and Barclays previously. He will begin in mid-May.
Mr Evans joined Aspen Actuaries & Pension Consultants in 2006 in order to specialise in providing retirement advice to both individual and corporate clients.
Following Aspen's acquisition by Capita Employee Benefits, his role expanded to incorporate retirement education seminars for both members and pensions professionals, writing articles for the financial press and providing market commentary through social media.
He has also contributed to a range of consultation exercises and industry forums aiming to develop new solutions and evolve the pensions and advisory market.

Mr Evans said: "I'm excited to be joining Suffolk Life. They're one of the leaders in the SIPP market and have a friendly, client-focused culture - both are strong attractions."
Greg Kingston, head of marketing and proposition for Suffolk Life, said: "I'm delighted to welcome such an experienced, high calibre professional to my team.
"Paul will be a real asset in helping us deliver front line technical insight and guidance to advisers.
"His experience will also be invaluable in helping us tailor our proposition directly to their needs."
